Lavender Vanilla

"I wanted to love this one really bad especially because I've bought it from other candle supplies companies and it smells amazing. I'm not sure if this was just a bad batch of the scent but it smells nothing like the lavender vanilla I typically get. I smell some lavender and no vanilla. It's unfortunate because I've wasted money on this scent, candle jars and candle wax. They have other nice scents so I'll definitely stick to the others I know for sure won't disappoint and just buy this one from one of the other companies I shop with."

Lavender vanilla fragrance oil

"This is a good fragrance, hints of vanilla though hard to distinguish the lavender itself. I'm using in a candle so will see how it does when burning."

Q&A

Good Morning!!! does the Lavender Vanilla work well in CP soap? Any acceleration or discoloring? Thanks, Tammy
Hi Tammy! Vanillin is notorious for causing dark discoloration in soap. It can also accelerate trace, depending on the percentage used; spiced scents (such as ginger & nutmeg that are part of this fragrance's profile) can also cause acceleration. However, there are no reports of soap batter seizing with this fragrance, and any acceleration should be manageable if you soap at lower temperatures and forego a water discount.
