Does not smell like donuts

"I like this company as most their fragrance oils are great but this "Apple Cider Donut" oil doesn't smell like donuts, I don't know that I can even get used to the smell. It's hard to describe but there is a distinct rubbing alcohol note. Wouldn't recommend this one."

"I combined with mulled cider since I wanted to get a more cider smells and honestly was awesome, the cold throw and hot was really delicious keeping the apple smell but with morentouches of cider. . 10% FO (half and half) worked perfectly with GB 464 soy wax 11oz round vessel."

Fall Favorite

"My customers have really responded to this scent in both candles and wax melts. I sell at a 5th generation family farm and also at a mill/bakery. This scent really appeals to people because it smells of nostalgic fall scents and has both a good cold/hot throw."

Satisfied Overall

"I ordered several different scents most were WONDERFUL however 2 didn't smell anything like described and those were a little let down. I will for sure order again but I will make sure to keepIt safe on smells that are pretty much exact and not mixtures like the funnel cake one that was a little bit of a let down."

Q&A

Hello.. was wondering if this actually has a "fried‚" smell to it like a donut. Many donut scents just smell kind of like cake. Also how much does the musk come through? Is this perfumey?
Hi Alexis! This kind of information is difficult due to how subjective and varied individual sense of smells are, but it has more sweet bakery confection tones than frying oil (which sounds like what you might be describing!). As a base note, the musk is not as noticeable initially compared to a top note, and is balanced without being overwhelming -- we find it to be more subtle compared to other fragrances with musk notes, and doesn't make the food aspect of the fragrance unappealing! We suggest reading the reviews of other customers, and you can also search reviews for key terms to refine your results for relevance. You can also check the SDS and research ingredients, and we recommend adding a 1-oz size as your free sample on your next order!
Hello! I was wondering if this fragrance oil is safe to use in car diffusers if dilluted with a diffuser base? & if so, what % is appropriate? Thank you!
Hello, please refer to the IFRA Category 10 A which can be found on the products page https://www.theflamingcandle.com/soap-making-supplies/fragrance-oils-for-soap-making/all-soap-safe-fragrance-oils/apple-cider-donut-fragrance-oil/
I love this oil but it is ALWAYS out of stock from august to november. It is really hard to offer it in my fall line up when im waiting weeks for restocks. Can you order more quanitites to avoid this out of stock issue in the future? It is clearly a popular oil!
Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us! We have forwarded this to our buyers and operations management. Thank you for the feedback!
Does it have cinnamaldehyde in it? If so, how much? I've noticed my skin has a reaction to cinnamon FO, so I'm guessing that's the reagent I need to watch out for. Thanks!
Yes, there is 1-5% Cinnamic Aldehyde.
Has anyone had a problem with discoloration when using this FO in metal tins? Specifically the inside of the tin becoming a rusty color? I have heard this can happen with cinnamon and vanilla.
Hi Kylie! Due to the reason you listed, the discoloration is a possibility with this fragrance oil. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with, we are happy to help!
