Summer Scoop Layered Candle Recipe

Supplies:
- ProBlend 400 Paraffin Container Wax
- Summer Scoop Fragrance Oil
- Black Liquid Candle Dye
- Red Liquid Candle Dye
- Smooth Sided Round 12 oz Mason Jar
- Bowtie Wick Bar
- HTP 73 Wick
- Candle Wick Stickers
- 4 lb. Pouring Pot
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare your jars. Place a wick sticker on each of the wick tabs. Adhere the wick to the bottom of six Mason jars centering them.
Step 2: Using a double boiler melt 18.75 oz of the ProBlend 400 candle wax to 180-185F.
Step 3: Add 10-15 drops of the black candle dye and 1.8 oz of the Summer Scoop Fragrance Oil.Stir.
Step 4: Cool to 165-175F. Slowly pour 3.12 oz of the wax into each of the 6 jars.
Step 5: To the first jar, thread the wick through the wick bar and place it over the opening of the jar to keep the wick centered while it is setting up.Repeat with each jar.
Step 6: Allow the wax to fully set up. Remove the wick bars.
Step 7: Using a double boiler melt 18.75 oz of the ProBlend 400 candle wax to 180-185F.
Step 8: Add 3-5 drops of the red candle dye and 1.8 oz of the Summer Scoop Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 9: Cool to 165-175F. Slowly pour 3.12 oz the wax into each of the 6 jars.
Step 10: To the first jar, thread the wick through the wick bar and place it over the opening of the jar to keep the wick centered while it is setting up. Repeat with each jar.
Step 11: Allow the wax to fully set up.Remove the wick bars.
Step 12: Using a double boiler melt 18.75 oz of the ProBlend 400 candle wax to 180-185F.
Step 13: Add 1.8 oz of the Summer Scoop Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 14: Cool to 165-175F. Slowly pour 3.12 oz the wax into each of the 6 jars.
Step 15: To the first jar, thread the wick through the wick bar and place it over the opening of the jar to keep the wick centered while it is setting up. Repeat with each jar.
Step 16: Allow the wax to set up. Remove the wick bars and trim the wicks to ¼”. Place a lid on the jar.Allow to set for 24-48 hours before burning.
