Time: 2 Hours

Supplies:

Other Supplies: Pot (for double boiler), Water (for double boiler), Stovetop, Mixing Spoon, Wax Paper or Parchment Paper, Pan (lined with wax paper)

Directions:

Step 1: Before beginning, poke a hole in the bottom of your mold. We used a metal skewer to do this.

Step 2: Thread a wick through the hole of your mold.

Step 3: Weigh out 9.6 oz of the ProBlend 550 Candle Wax.

Step 4: Using a double boiler, melt the wax to 185F. Stir occasionally as the wax is melting.

Step 5: Add .96 oz of the Glazed Candy Apple Fragrance Oil and 5-10 dropsRed Liquid Candle Dye. Stir.

Step 6: Pour the wax into your mold around 180F.

Step 7: Center the wick, secure it with a wick bar, and allow the candle to set up.

Step 8: Remove the candle from the mold.

Step 9: For this step, the amount of wax you use will depend on the size of the pouring pot you use. You want to be sure you have plenty of wax but also leave around 4 inches from the top as the wax volume will increase as you dip your skull. We used about 16 oz. of wax.

Step 10: Using a double boiler, melt the wax to 185F. Stir occasionally as the wax is melting.

Step 11: Add 0.48 oz of the Glazed Candy Apple Fragrance Oil and 5-10 drops Black Liquid Candle Dye. Stir.

Step 12: Let the temperature drop to about 150F. Hold the wick and carefully dip your candle into the black wax.Place the skull on your pan. Repeat if desired.

Step 13: Allow the candle to cure before burning.
