Christmas Tree Mold Candle Recipe

Supplies:
- ProBlend 650 Candle Wax
- Black Cypress and Cedar Fragrance Oil
- Red Dye Chips
- Silicone Christmas Tree Mold
- Eco 10 Candle Wick
- Wick Bar
- Thermometer
- Pouring Pot
- Scale
- Warning Label
Directions:
Step 1: In a pouring pot, weight out 3 oz. ProBlend650.
Step 2: While you are waiting, poke a hole in the bottom of your mold for the wick. We used a metal skewer to do this.
Step 3: Thread a wick through the hole of your mold.
Step 4: Using a double boiler, melt the wax to 180F. Stir occasionally as the wax is melting.
Step 5: Add 0.3 ounces of the Black Cypress and Cedar Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 6: Pour the wax into your mold at 160F-165F.
Step 7: Center the wick, secure it with a wick bar, and allow the candle to mostly set up. You want to the wax to be warm to the touch, soft but solid
Step 8: In a pouring pot, weight out 4.25 oz. ProBlend 650. Add 1-2 red dye chips.
Step 9: Using a double boiler, melt the wax to 180F. Stir occasionally as the wax is melting.
Step 10: Add 0.42 ounces of the Black Cypress and Cedar Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 11: Pour the wax into your mold. Center the wick, secure it with a wick bar, and allow the candle to set up.
Step 12: If you used a tabbed wick, remove the tab. Remove the candle from the mold.
Step 13: Trim the wick. Place a warning label on the bottom of the candle.
Step 14: Once cured, trim the wick to ¼” before burning.
