UV Inhibitor
UV inhibitor helps protect candles from the damaging effects of exposure to UV (ultraviolet) light and extend the color of candles. A must for those selling candles outdoors where candles are exposed to sunlight or in stores where candles have prolonged light exposure.
Our UV inhibitor is effective in many wax blends, including paraffin, soy, palm, and other vegetable blends.
Please note: UV inhibitor will help prolong the time before candles begin to fade, but will not completely eliminate fading.
Recommended usage:
0.25% or 1/2 tsp. per pound of wax (0.04 oz. per pound of wax)
Add UV inhibitor to melted wax prior to adding dye and/or color. The wax temperature should be around 180° - 185°F when adding the UV inhibitor to melted wax. Stir thoroughly to ensure UV inhibitor is completely dissolved into the melted wax.
